By Registering you agree to be bound by the following Impression Guidelines and to engage in the established chain of Command for the Event

Aquino Display/Battle, 2017

Reference the standards below for the impression. Those elements easily remedied and corrected

shall be adhered to upon arrival.

 

Those elements associated with a cost impact or reasonable delay shall be assessed for compliance.

 

There will be a safety and authenticity check before the public's arrival and the tactical demonstration and egregious violations of the items below will need to be corrected on the spot.

 

WW2 impressions at this event should be appropriate for the general time frame and theatre that the Aquino battle took place: mid 1944, Liri Valley campaign in Italy. Impressions drastically outside this framework are allowed and encouraged in the display/camp area, but they will not be permitted to take part in the battle demonstration.

 

Approved Firearms: Western Front weapons in common use by the Wehrmacht and the Waffen SS up to Mid 1944

 

No "captured Eastern Front"  firearms No "captured Allied" firearms. 

 

 

Uniform and Equipment Standards

 

Heer/Luftwaffe/Waffen-SS reenactors:

 

 

Correct period haircut; hair not touching the ears or collar; no facial hair (beards, sideburn, goatee); 1-2 days stubble permitted - your unit must all be aligned

Visible piercings and tattoos concealed

No modern eyewear

Basic kit worn ie- Breadbags on right rear hip, e-tools and bayonets left rear hip.

Holsters, if worn, go on the left hip- you must have an ATT to wear a pistol (sidearms must be impression correct).

PALs must be present for all reenactors fielding firearms. No 'loaned' weapons. RPAL-based weapons must have an ATT. Permits will be inspected.

Replica/'grey' weapons and the like are not permitted.

DeWaT weapons must be legally compliant

No Spanish/postwar, or other nations helmets; German 35, 40 and m42 helmets are acceptable, M38 for FJ

All equipment in repaired and presentable condition.

Proper period footwear- no cadet boots or Allied footwear; low boots and gamaschen or

Marschsteifel or FJ side/front laced jump boots

M36-M43 pattern Feldbluse is appropriate. No Swedish/Swiss or postwar Feldbluse

 

 

Camp and Bivouac Standards for all reenactors

 

Only military salutes- No Nazi party salutes will be tolerated.

No coolers nor modern equipment/wrappers/foodstuffs visible to the public

No 'Indiana Jones' type crates or footlockers.

No pyrotechnics, nor ball ammunition onsite

No open fires, no digging

No firing in the camp area

No loading of firearms in camp area

Correct period tentage in prewar grey, splinter or Waffen-SS patterns. No Italian patterned tents

No flags; small unit/tactical signs permitted

 

 

Luftwaffe/Fallschirmjäger

 

Luftwaffe tropical uniform and/or continental wools. Avoid mixing continental and tropical kit on the same man if possible. Fliegerbluse and LW Tropen Feldbluse acceptable

Black leather equipment is encouraged. Luftwaffe equipment changed from brown to black in 1942.

FJ smocks will be of the green step in type, Luftwaffe type Splinter B material or Sumpftarn

No tan and water helmet cover, bandoliers etc.

Scarves, if worn, should be of plain, non-synthetic material appropriate to the period. No

shemaghs, sniper veils, etc.

Other than Italian, "captured" non-German weapons are not allowed.

 

 

 

Waffen-SS/Panzergrenadiere

At this time in Italy, only the 16th SS 'Reichsfuhrer-SS' was present in Italy. Please attempt to be non-divisonal specific, if the 16th SS impression is not worn.

No visible SS-runes, either on helmet or Feldblusen.

Oak, Plane Tree, Blurred Edge or Palm pattern camouflage helmet covers. No drawstring covers or 44dot covers

No Liebermuster camouflage.

Camouflage should be a correct reproduction of issued patterns.

Waffen-SS patterns for smocks only, no foreign camouflage

Blackened leather field gear, or web/prestoff kit.

 

 

 

Heer/Panzergrenadiere

Wool uniforms (M36,M40,M42). 2nd/3rd model Tropen Feldbluse allowed

No Splinter Feldbluse, pants or helmet covers

Blackened leather field gear, or web / prestoff kit. Mixing permitted

 

 

 

 

 

Other Impressions: Gebirgjäger, DRK, Helferin, Feldgendarm, usw.

 

If you are portraying a non-standard impression for the display, then please abide by the guidelines associated with that impression; learn and know the proper uniform, time frame, kit etc.

 

These impressions will not be permitted in the battle scenario.
